Time is precious for everyone and you surely don’t want to waste a lot of time cooking in the kitchen and especially if you don’t enjoy cooking. So, Are you that kind of a person who does not have the patience of standing in the kitchen? Or wouldn’t it be wonderful that making food becomes a task of just fifteen minutes? Or Wouldn’t it be awesome that your tummy is filled with tasty and healthy food without making much effort and time in the kitchen? It may sound too good to be true, but you can make good food without wasting much time in the kitchen.
So, here are five simple Indian recipes which you need to try, and guess what, you can make these recipes in just ten minutes-
1. Bhel Puri -
is my personal favourite. If someone gives me a choice between bhel puri and pizza , I would definitely choose bhel puri( What will you choose let me know in the comments section below). Ingredients needed for making this recipe are - Chopped tomatoes, onion, cucumber, green chili coriander chutney, tamarind chutney, boiled+mashed potatoes chivda(Indian snack), rice puff, and some salt to taste.
Take a bowl, add all the vegetables mentioned above. Then add some salt as per taste with green chutney and tamarind chutney. Mix it well and add some chivda and rice puff to it. Mix everything well. And your delicious bhel puri is ready.
2. Bread Upma-
Bread Upma is one the best and the quickest breakfast recipes which you can make very easily. Ingredients needed for making this recipe are - 6 slices bread, white/wholemeal,½ tsp mustard seeds/rai, 3 tsp oil, few curry leaves, ½ medium-sized onion, finely chopped, 1 green chili,½ tsp ginger paste,2 medium-sized tomatoes,½ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder, ½ tsp sugar, ½ small sized capsicum, garam masala, 2 tbsp. water, and some salt to taste.
Toast the bread till it turns crisp golden brown and then cut the crip bread into cubes. Take a pan heat oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves into it. Sauté it for a few minutes. Further, add turmeric powder, onion, ginger-garlic paste, green chili. Sauté it till the onion turns golden brown. Then add some tomatoes, capsicum with Kashmiri red chili powder, garam masala, salt to taste, and a pinch of sugar. Your delicious bread upma is ready to serve.
3. Aloo Jeera-
this one of the quickest and simple dishes that can be made for lunch or dinner in no time. Ingredients needed for this recipe are - Boiled potatoes, jeera, sliced red chili, garam masala, turmeric powder, chopped garlic, and some salt to taste.
Take a kadhai, heat some oil, and add jeera to it. Cook it till the jeera becomes golden brown in color. Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala to it. Finally, add boiled potatoes with some salt (as per taste) and mix it well. Your dish is ready to serve.
4. Curd Rice -
is one of those dishes which is best for the summer season. Ingredients needed for making this recipe is - Cooked rice, curd, oil, green chili, curry leaves, cumin seeds, and mustard seeds. Must be wondering only these few ingredients. Yes, that’s true and I am sure that you will like this dish. Now let us look into the preparation of this recipe.
Take a pan, heat some oil it in. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Cook for half a minute. Then add green chili and let it cook for another half a minute. Take a bowl of cooked rice, add curd to the rice and mix it well. Finally, add the oil to the curd rice and you are done.
