Indian Navy increases relief effort at Cyclone affected regions in Odisha

Helicopters from 4 naval ships anchored off of Dhamra port in Bhadrak were also assembled to supply 1,500 food provision packets to the Indian Navy's relief team appointed at ITR Balasore for supplying.

On Friday, the Indian Navy relief teams deployed at Odisha's Balasore have successfully scaled up their efforts on very much in coordination with the state authorities there to provide assistance and to render help to the affected population in the interior parts and also adjacent fishing villages in the district.

More than 1,500 cooked meals were provided by the community kitchen in the fishing villages of Dassipur, Gokulur, Taliboral, Sirsapoda, Haripur, Bathrismania, Bodhigadiya, Nadchowk, Baulabani, Badadio, & Balramgadi. Also, packed meals have been distributed with the help of the local Sarpanch on two-wheeler vehicles in the dearth of proper road access.

Provision of as much as 400 food packets & 300 clothing packets have also been distributed at Kassafal Gram Panchayat & in Talasari village with the help from a local ex-serviceman.
