According to British Media Reports, the Palace was said to have held “crisis talks” before issuing the statement. The senior royals were reported to have had some urgent discussions over how to limit the fallout from this interview.
 
On Tuesday, Queen Elizabeth II said, the Royal family will address the accusations & allegations of racism that were made against them ( the Royal family ) by Prince Harry & his wife, Meghan Markle, in their interview with Oprah Winfrey. Here is a gist about her response to the interview –
  
The queen’s comments were the first since the interview was aired a few days ago. Harry & Meghan also detailed a lack of support by the royal family for the latter’s mental health issues along with media intrusion. “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” the Queen said in one statement after some hours of speculation about how she would respond to these claims about her and the family.
 
“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.” she added.
  
“Harry, Meghan, and Archie will always be much-loved family members,” said the Queen. According to the British media reports, The Palace was said to have held some “crisis talks” before issuing the statement.
