Willy left-arm slow orthodox spinner, Pragyan Ojha called it quits from international cricket. He made his announcement on Friday and put an end to an illustrious career through a letter posted on the micro-blogging website Twitter.

In a career spanning 16 years, Ojha featured in 24 test matches and picked up 113 wickets. Ojha made his domestic debut for Hyderabad in 2005 and his main strength lied in his flighted deliveries and a little bit of bounce. After a fairly successful IPL outing in 2008 where he scalped 11 wickets in 13 outings which also propelled him to make an international debut in the very same year against Bangladesh. IPL 2010 saw Ojha assume the Midas touch. He took 21 wickets and bagged the purple cap award for the same.

"To be an Indian cricketer and represent the country at the highest level was always a dream I cherished as a youngster. I fall short of words to describe how fortunate I have been to have lived, dream and earned the love and respect of my fellow countrymen. For a sportsperson, there cannot be a greater reward." said Ojha in a letter posted by him on Twitter.

Pragyan Ojha last made an international appearance in 2013 in a test match against West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Incidentally, it was the legendary Sachin Tendulkar's final international appearance. Ojha was adjudged the man of the match for his outstanding figures of 10 for 89.
