The year 2021 is approaching in not more than 3 days. And we are already in the ‘Kick start your new year’ zone. Where we have so many goals for ourselves. We might want to read more books or lose a few KGs or something else. But make sure that being independent must be one of your important goals for this year. And if it is congratulations…! You are already walking on your path of independent life.

So if you are a student and still living with your parents, how can you be more independent?

1. Start taking responsibility of your stuff: Many times when we live with our family we don’t realise that the smallest things like taking care of your own stuff, organizing cupboard, organizing our school/college bag, washing our clothes are taken care of, by our mommy dearest or maybe house help or someone else but not us. So from this year make sure that you take responsibility for your own stuff. Like washing your own clothes, organizing your wardrobe, cleaning your room or filling petrol in your vehicle or your internet recharge, Take care of your things, this is the first step of learning how to become an independent person.

4. Learn Driving: Driving is a skill that will help you in your long run. It can be driving a car or at least learn how to ride a two-wheeler. When you have your own vehicle with you, you are not dependent on anyone for your small tasks, or to go here and there. Driving or riding will make you independent in a way that you can take care of all your meetings, colleges, classes and other stuff. Also, it is super fun.
