A sequel of 2003 comedy Hungama by Priyadarshan is expected to hit the theatres on Independence Day next year i.e. 2020. The first part starred Paresh Rawal, Akshaye Khanna, Rimi Sen and Aftab Shivdasani in lead roles whereas, the sequel casts Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Paresh Rawal, Pranitha Subhash, and Meezaan as the protagonists.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra shared a poster of the film on Twitter which read “Fun Unlimited” and wrote “Happy to be a part of the reboot of everyone’s favorite comedy entertainer Hungama2! Grateful to be working again with Ratanji who introduced me to this industry and priyadarshan Sir for the first time”
The film will mark the return of director Priyadarshan after a seven-year-old break, his last release being Rangrezz in 2013. With this film, Shilpa Shetty Kundra will end her 13-year-old sabbatical and return to Bollywood. Shirley Setia and Abhimanyu Dassani are also a part of the project. The film is set to release on August 14, 2020. The audience surely expects the sequel to be as hilarious as the first installation which is still considered to be one of the best comedy films of its time.
